Does food web theory work for marine ecosystems? Mar. These results indicate that knowledge of dynamically shifting food webs is crucial for understanding temporally varying roles of ‘core species’ in ecosystem processes. The substantial shifts of network structure entailed alternations of spider species located at the core positions within the entangled webs of interactions. Those modules differed in detritus/grazing food chain properties, forming complex fission–fusion dynamics of belowground and aboveground energy channels across the seasons. The networks were compartmentalized into modules (groups) of closely interacting predators and prey in each month. On the basis of high-throughput detection of prey DNA from 1,556 spider individuals collected in a grassland ecosystem, we reconstructed dynamics of interaction networks involving, in total, 50 spider species and 974 prey species and strains through 8 months. Here, we show that dynamics of species-rich predator–prey interactions can be characterized by remarkable network structural changes and alternations of species with greatest impacts on community processes. However, it has remained a major challenge to reveal how species-rich networks of predator–prey interactions are continually reshaped through time in the wild. Uncovering the network architecture of such trophic interactions has been recognized as the essential step for exploring species with great impacts on ecosystem-level phenomena and functions. In nature, entangled webs of predator–prey interactions constitute the backbones of ecosystems. ![]() Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills including serving as a mentor MBA or relevant graduate degree preferredįormal training in project or program management and/or certification required Maintains project and/or program website and database, and issue and risk tracking logsįour year degree or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications Monitors project and/or program execution and escalates project issues as necessary May contribute and/or lead vendor relationship management for project-related vendors supports enterprise vendor management standards and coordinates initial contracts, contract renewals, and addenda to contracts with key project vendorsĬomplies with enterprise project management standards and contributes to their incremental improvement Remains informed of job-related issues through networking, training programs, seminars and trade publications Represents the PMO in rationalizing a set of projects into a program on behalf of business and/or technical unitsĭetermines resource requirements and procures resources manages contract project and/or program resourcesįacilitates impact analyses of current/existing technologies on the program Leads and manages all aspects of project planning within and across related projects including scope, budget, financial forecasting, and scheduling Serves as lead project manager on complex Corporate Projects and/or small-to-medium inter-related programs defines and manages all aspects of project planning including scope, budget, financial forecasting and scheduling ![]() Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project general Web proficiency PPM tool(s)Ībility to pass required background checkĮxperience with Learning Management and Student Information SystemsĮxperience with IT release management strategy and best practices Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven processĬonsistent success in leading teams to meet aggressive deadlinesĭemonstrated use of sound and proven project management practices and toolsĭemonstrated skill with Project and Portfolio Management tools and conceptsĮxperience with resource management (labor models, time tracking, etc.) Process modeling, data standardization, and analytics Successful tracking and schedule compliance with larger scale projectsĮxperience working in Agile project environment PMP Certification Scrum Master certificationĮxperience identifying and implementing Project Management and Agile best practices Unquenchable thirst to dominate life at HP and shake things up!Įxperience with Data Warehousing, analytics, reporting and associated technologiesĤ-5 years of experience in a IT Senior Project Manager roleģ-5 years’ experience with (Agile) SDLC and ScrumĮight (8) years of overall Project Management experience Thought leadership on serving our end users within HP Hunger for knowledge and the ability to rapidly assimilate information ![]() Project management foundations, at a practical or university levelĮxceptional written and verbal skills to enable communication across a global organization NET, Java, Web Apps, Security, Cloud, Mobility, etc.) would be really helpful Ready to play a proactive, vital role in HP’s turnaround culture and prepare for HP’s futureīachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experienceĠ-2years of experience in related fields, knowledge of a wide array of technologies (SAP. O create your first Minecraft castle, mine Cobblestone for materials. I have another tip for you as well, regarding column layout. The middle and right column div are too high for the screen so I made the scroll settings for those divs. This is where I used to bang my head to the wall for quite a while… Here is an example of a horizontal column layout in a modal. So don't try to set the element height as high as the element really is. You'll understand this when you start with smaller kind of values, for example with 200 pixels and increase the value if necessary. There is a further trick in setting the height: it needs to be smaller than the screen height because that’s the area in within the element will scroll. The height is defined under Size & Spacing. In Oxygen, you'll find the first two settings in the Advanced tab, under Layout. What does that mean exactly? It means that you need to set element display to "block", select value "scroll" for overflow and give the element a fixed height. The answer is (.drum roll.): block element + overflow: scroll + fixed element height! Nor does it automatically get a scrollbar either. Unlike you could imagine, it doesn’t shrink to fit the screen even on laptop size (or I just don't know how to do it). For example, a contact form in a modal easily becomes too high to fit the laptop screen. This kind of small and simple modals usually fit the screen without any tweaking when it comes to responsiveness.īut many of the modals I’ve created are higher than the screen, some already on laptop screens. ![]() ![]() I’m not sure how common this kind of use of a modal is but I’ve found it practical!Īnyway, most of the modals I’ve made so far have been very simple in a way that they only contain text, mostly just a couple of sentences. I’ve set the modals to be triggered by a button click so that viewing the modal is optional for the visitor. In fact, I’ve used the modals in perhaps a bit unconventional way – to show the reader additional information. The main function of a modal is to draw the website visitor’s attention to itself and try to persuade the visitor to take a certain action (reading a message and clicking “OK”, filling out a form, etc.). (A modal can also be called a modal window or lightbox.) This advice may help users of other website design tools but I’m only familiar with Oxygen. ![]() So, in this article I’ll discuss how to make modals responsive in Oxygen Builder for WordPress. I’ll focus on modals because making them responsive has been the toughest part for me. In my experience, the latter battle is way bigger, and thus hope that sharing the lesson I learned will save someone from the agony I had to go through. Learning website development is in fact a double battle: first learning the techniques to make nice things on a web page, and then learning another set of techniques on how to keep the design beautiful on smaller screens. But as soon as I’m ready with a new, beautiful web page on my screen, my joy is cut short by the fact that I still need to make it responsive. But I did learn it and enjoy it very much. I always thought that it would be impossible for me to make convincing looking websites. ![]() And then it’s complicated by throwing in true vector pathing for other parts of the project you don’t want engraved. I think the Glowforge has some cloud RIP capabilities, but not extensive. Your printer is essentially acting like the Glowforge in engrave mode. The equivalent would be saving your work as a PNG, JPG, EPS, TIFF, etc. The RIP software does just what the name implies, it converts your artwork to a raster. This is possible because 1) a lot of graphics are just for web use, 2) the image will be processed by RIP software just prior to printing (raster image processor). People are used to a print view of things where WYSIWYG prevails and white is not printed.īy default, these programs all default to a method known as knockout, which means an overlaying color “knocks out” the color that is beneath. Text needs to be converted to paths and “stacked” items need to be flattened. I uploaded an image where you can see all of the layers and I hid the white shape so you can see what’s going on with the actual raindrop shape. If you want it thicker, increase the size of the stroke and then you can “expand” the stroke (or whatever the equivalent is in Inkscape). What the glowforge is going to do with that is create a cut or score (I imagine you’d want a score), which will be a thin line. All you need to do here is go into the raindrops, delete the white shape, remove the fill from the existing black shape and add an outline. On the raindrops, to make the white middle - a duplicate raindrop filled with white has been put in place. The UI won’t process text at this time, and either way - converted to outlines you’ll be assured of WYSIWIG. Text: You’ll want to make sure that any text you have is converted to outlines, which should be an option when you save as/export to SVG. However, when I upload to the UI, it throws it way down off the bed and you spend several minutes trying to resize and bring it back up to where it needs to be. Maybe that’s just because I opened it in Illustrator and there is a weird conversion going on. It’s showing that it’s 120" across, approx. You’ll want to scale the image down, I believe. I’ll show you a few things that I see in the file (and sorry in advance if this makes life more difficult) I’m not an Inkscape expert, so I can’t really tell you how to accomplish any of this… I think you’re going to have some unexpected results with this - or results that may not be as clean as you want them to be.
